Engineering
Our engineers go out in the field to customers’ facilities. They analyze the needs of the customer and come back with detailed sketches that then are given to our Computer Assisted Design (CAD) Department.
Our CAD Department uses computer CAD/CAM programs to design and lay out parts. Plotters and laser printers print drawings and blueprints.
We use the following programs for designing:
AUTOCAD 14 & AUTOCAD 2000 + AUTOCAD 2004
SMP-IS MERRY MECHANIZATION
SMP-IS is an automated 2D and 3D CAD/CAM system. It unfolds parts and generates plot patterns which can be downloaded or uploaded to other CAD/CAM systems using “DXF” or “IGES” files.
These programs then generate parts geometry from these patterns, select and assign tool and turret stations and optimize tool paths.
These instructions are then downloaded to our laser or turret punch press completely automating our engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
